L129 Colombian Zebra Pleco – 5–8 cm

The L129 Colombian Zebra Pleco (Hypancistrus debilittera) is a beautiful small pleco known for its striking dark body covered with contrasting cream-to-white zebra-like bands and markings. Native to the Orinoco River basin of Colombia and Venezuela, this attractive Hypancistrus species is an excellent choice for planted aquariums, community tanks, and pleco collections.

Reaching approximately 4 inches (10 cm) as an adult, the L129 stays relatively compact compared with many other plecos. It is generally peaceful, although males can become territorial with other plecos around caves and hiding spots. Provide plenty of driftwood, rockwork, caves, and shaded areas where the fish can establish a territory.
