2 Wolfard Modern design 12” Hurricane Glass Oil Lamp Lantern Wick Holder USA

Pair of pre-owned, 12 inch Wolfard Oil Lamps with instructions and new unopened wicks and wickholders. In perfect condition (see photos) and Clean and ready to use. Each hand-blown lamp measures about 12 inches high and 4.5 inches in diameter (varies slightly as these are hand made). This size lamp will hold up to 6 ounces of oil and gives a burn time of 40 hours. This
size lamp will hold up to 4 ounces of oil and gives a burn time of 27 hours. Wolfard Lamp Oil or any other high quality lamp oil, including colored and scented, are recommended due to their clean-burning qualities. See enclosed instructions for further details on use.

This uniquely designed lamp, originally made in 1972 by Jon Wolfard, is still made by Wolfard Glassblowing Co. in Sebastapol, CA, and appeared in the Whitney Museum of American Art exhibit "High Styles: Twentieth Century American Design". A wonderful modern and functional version of the traditional made with durable, borosilicate glass. Perfect item to give as a special, long lasting gift.
