Amber Murano Art Glass Ice Bucket

Excellent condition, pre-owned, Murano Venini & Co. DiSaronno limited-edition, amber and white blown art glass ice bucket with clear scrolled glass handles and a ground smooth pontil (scar on the bottom of a blown glass piece where the punt or blow tube was attached during the blowing process). Venini is known for its modernist designs and special glass making techniques that include the "latticino" (lattice) and "bollicine" (frothy bubble effect) found in this piece. These ice buckets were first produced in 2015 by Venini & Co. as promotional items for another big Italian organization, Disaronno, the world's largest producer of Amaretto, almond liqueur. As these items were hand made, textures, measurements and colors vary in each piece. This bucket measures 5 1/8" (13 cm) high and 5 3/8" (13.7 cm) in diameter with 1/2"(1.8 cm) handles on either side and weighs 1lb 6 oz on its own. This piece is in excellent condition, having been used once and then stored since - see photos for details. Nice for a bar, as a vase or serving piece on a buffet.
