Antique Elite Limoges Oval Serving Platter Gold Rim Wedding Band Bawo Dotter

Antique Elite Limoges large, heavy oval Serving Platter with thick gold rim and gold "Wedding Band" in the center. This platter was made between 1900 and 1914 in France at the Elite Works manufacturing facility in Limoges established by Bawo & Dotter (NY) at the turn of the century (see red Elite mark). This heavy (3.75 lb) platter measures 15 3/4" wide, 10 7/8" long and 1 3/4" high at the edge. The interior "bowl" section is about 11" wide, 7" long and 3/4" deep with a flange of about 1 3/4" to hold food and juices. This platter is in good condition with no chips, cracks or substantial marks. Some minor wear on gold rim - see photos for details. A hefty platter in a simple, elegant and classic pattern that blends easily with old and modern styles. Suitable for any holiday table, as a display dish on a table or vanity.
