Antique French walnut Presentation Jewelry Box brass framed needlepoint roses

Antique, French walnut Presentation / Jewelry Box with a brass framed petit point picture of blooming roses under glass and a hinged lid. This lovely box measures 4 3/4" wide , 3 2/4" deep and 1 1/4" high. The center oval picture frame is intricately decorated with an overlapping leaf design that encircles a piece of clear glass under which the tiny needlepoint picture of a bouquet of a pink and red rose accompanied by some tiny blue forget-me-nots and green foliage on a beige ground. Inside the lid are 4 small screw holes that hold the front embellishments securely in place. The finish of the box is in original condition with black stained edge trim. The box is in very good condition for its age, clean inside and out with minor wear on the exterior wood finish commensurate with age. See photos for details on condition.
