Antique Gilt ornate Gesso Gold Wood Picture Frame reinforced corners 16 x 20

Antique, heavy, gilt gesso and wood picture frame with reinforced corners that fits a 16 x 20 canvas or glass. Outside measurements are 25 3/8" (cm)wide by 21 1/8" (cm)high x 2 1/2" (cm) deep with a rabbet of 3/8" (cm). Mitered corners are finished with ornate gesso embellishments on the front and triangular wood reinforcements on the back. Screw eyes and hanging wire still in place on the back for hanging in landscape format. The frame is in very good condition with only minor scuffs and scratches on the wall facing edges on all sides - see photos for details. Nice, heavy frame suitable for a painting, matted artwork with glass or a mirror.
