Arts Crafts Hand Painted Pyrography Wine Grapes Wall Plaque

Vintage, Arts & Crafts, hand painted pyrography, round Wall Plaque with Wine Grape motif on a dimpled background and scrollwork integrated frame. This large, striking example of this wood burning folk art technique that was popular in the Victorian age and the early 20th century, the Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau period. The artistry in this panel shows the artist's talent with proportion and composition as well as skill in oil painting (grapes and leaves) and pyrography. This panel measures 24" in diameter and is on a 1/4" thick wood panel. A hand wrought metal hanging ring allows it to be hung on a wall. It is overall in very good condition with a nice patina.
