Black Opaline Glass And Brass Footed Centerpiece Planter Bowl

Vintage, 8-sided, black opaline glass Centerpiece bowl with ornate reticulated, 2 layer brass trim and cast brass lion paw feet. Possibly Italian made though the piece is unmarked. This stunning and very heavy piece measures 9" (22.7cm) wide, 5 1/2" (13.9cm) deep and 2 1/4" (5.7cm) high and weighs 3 lbs 9 oz alone. In very good condition with no chips or scratches on the glass. Some tarnishing on the brass trimming as shown in photos. Feet include new felt pads to protect the surface where this will stand. Suitable as a small planter, low vase or fruit bowl on a dining table or as an elegant accent on a side table or desk vignette with books and a lamp.
