Black Palm Wood Long Oval Footed Fruit Bowl with Silver Frogs & Trim

Vintage 1990s, long, pointed oval, footed Black Palm Wood Fruit Bowl / Centerpiece rimmed in silver plate with 4 silver plate frog feet. This unusual serving or decorative piece measures 28" wide and 4 1/8" deep and 4 1/2" high at its highest points. Hand carved from one piece of black palm wood, highlighting the graphic grain in the material. The cast metal feet are small realistic models of small frogs, as if they carry the bowl on their backs - charming. Black felt bottoms on the feet to protect table or shelf surfaces. This bowl is in good condition with no cracks, chips; some wear and small dents present on the silver plate trim. A modern style bowl with whimsy, perfect as a centerpiece with fruit or flowers or as a decorative element on a console or coffee table.
