Italian Gold Carved Wood PICTURE FRAMES with black velvet liners

Pair of vintage, gilt carved wood Picture Frames with black velvet liners. These frames measure 19 1/4" high, 17" wide and about 1 1/2" deep. With the velvet liner, they fit pictures up to 10" by 8". Liners are nailed in and could be removed. Without the liners, the frames accommodate pictures up to 12" by 10". One frame has original screw eyes and hanging wire. The borders of this frame are made of heavy wood carved into a scrolling, baroque or Florentine style design that is gilt on the front and sides. The liner is also wood with two parallel trimmed edges with a center strip of black velvet/velveteen. These frames are in very good condition, showing only minor wear and no major flaws. Clean and ready to use. A fabulous pair for a rich, maximalist, baroque or Florentine/Italian look appropriate for art work or mirrors.
