Description
Vintage, hand painted, Mexican stone wear, dinner-size Plate with holes for hanging from the Ken Edwards pottery studio in Tonala, Mexico. This heavy dish from the studio's "Collection Series" measures 10 1/4" in diameter and 1 1/4" high at the rim. This dish is painted with a stunning picture of a blue-winged and black-masked bird perched among blue bells, leaves and accents. The rim includes a running motif of small red and blue flowers and leaves surrounded by a cobalt blue outside band and a cobalt and teal double inner band. The back of the plate has 2 integrated holes for threading a wire or sting for hanging. The Ken Edwards mark is also on the back. The plate is in good condition - see photos for details. A lovely plate to add to a collection / display or to add some bright spot to serving.
