Large Fine Vintage Chinese Wood Jewelry Chest Box Cabinet Brass Hardware

Vintage (probably 1960s), large Chinese wood jewelry chest with engraved brass hardware, lift top, cabinet doors and 4 velvet-lined, concealed drawers, block feet. The latches that secure both the top lid and the doors below have posts with holes designed for locks as needed (not included). All brass latches and straps are decorated with floral-like engravings and the pieces have carefully cut and shaped decorative corners and edges. The dark wood body of this chest has a light glossy lacquer surface and a panel effect on the lid and front doors. This wonderful storage box measures 14 5/8" wide x 9 3/4" high x 9 5/8" deep and weighs 11 lbs 5 oz (on its own, without packaging), lots of space to store necklaces, bracelets, brooches, and rings (includes specific ring holders in second concealed drawer). In unusually good condition with clean, almost unused, velvet interior linings, smooth lacquered wood exterior and clean brass fittings that have a gentle patina from age. Well constructed piece with no cracks, broken areas or damage. Made in "Hong Kong" and labeled as such on the bottom. Please see the photos for details on features and condition.
