Set of 4, vintage C.H. Haviland Limoges, Skadia pattern demitasse (espresso) cups with matching saucers. The Skandia pattern of silver trimmed white china with distinct art deco lines and shapes and nesting cups was designed in the mid 1980s by Paule Robert. Samples of this china line, that included full dinner service plus serving pieces as well as coffee service, are on display at the National Adrien Dubouche Museum in Limoges, France, where many of the famed patterns and works of the famous Limoges production lines are displayed. The pattern was produced by Limoges and some versions were then painted by Haviland artists and included this silver banded version as well as versions that included other colors. A limited number of these sets were produced and are not yet seen with much frequency in the secondary market. Cups measure 2 1/4" (5.6cm) high and 2 1/4" (5.6cm) in diameter at the top. Saucers are 5" (10cm) in diameter. This set is in very good condition, not having seen much use. Please note one small, difficult to see, chip on one of the saucers as shown in the detail photo of the one saucer. This modern-looking style of this espresso service is distinctive and mixes well with many other styles due to its simplicity and soft shapes.
