Limoges France Porcelain Powder Gold Ormolu Egg Trinket Box, 3 1/4" L

Vintage 1970s, Limoges France powder gold finish porcelain Egg-shaped Trinket Box with hinged lid. The smooth gold finish is embossed with tiny scroll patterns on all 4 sides. The edges are trimmed in ormolu mounts and hinge that closes with an ormolu shell-shape clasp. The inside and the bottom of the egg are unpainted, white porcelain. The bottom is flat with an edge to allow it to stand securely and has the Limoges stamp. This stunning box measures 3 1/4" long, 2 1/4" wide and 2" high and weighs 3.8 oz.
