Mackenzie Childs Courtly Check Enamel Colander 6" strainer fruit basket

Vintage, Mackenzie-Childs, Courtly Check pattern, small, hand-painted enamel Colander with antiqued brass handles and bronzed stainless steel rims. Marked MacKenzie-Childs with the thistle brand logo on the inside of the bowl and manufacturing codes on the bottom. This charming kitchen essential measures 6 3/8" across the top - 7 7/8" including handles - is 3 5/8" high. The base is 3 7/8" in diameter. The colander holds about 1 qt. and weighs a solid 13 oz. due to it steel underbody. In very good condition, with wear commensurate with age and some use: light scratches to the stainless rims, tarnish to the brass handles. A well built kitchen work essential that brings charm and humor to food chores or use as a berry/fruit bowl on your table or for gift giving!
