Majolica Squash Pumpkin Vegetable hand painted Ceramic Soup Tureen Italy

Pre-owned, finely detailed, hand crafted and painted Italian ceramic Gourd/Squash-shaped Soup Tureen with ladle. Note that this item is not exactly round/oval but irregularly shaped to emulate a real Squash and is similar in size/dimensions. Approximately 10 inches in diameter at exterior widest point with inside opening measuring about 7 1/2 inches and about 8 inches high including the top of the stem/handle of the lid. The tureen is labeled only with item number "78" with no other maker details. In great condition, except for a few chips by the ladle opening - see detailed photos. This package includes the bottom, lid, a new (not original) larger ladle as well as the original small ladle that broke (both pieces included and carefully packed if you'd like to make the repair). Lovely tureen for Summer/Fall gathering, garden-themed decor or striking item for Thanksgiving table.
