ORIENT & FLUME Pen holder Paperweight Iridescant Art Glass Blue Feather

Beautiful vintage Orient and Flume hand blown glass pen holder or paperweight in beautiful deep blue iridescent glass with dark blue veining/swirls and solid black bottom. Smooth, matte exterior and molded to have a hole in the center which allows this paperweight to also serve as a pen holder. The paperweight measures 2" high, 3 1/4" wide at widest point, hole is 1" at top and tapers to about 1/4". Orient and Flume, established in 1972 in Chico, CA by Douglas Boyd, has been long known for its extraordinary iridescent art glass creations in the style of early art glass makers like Tifffany and are made by a number of artists that work under the company's moniker. This example is an early one from the 70s and is in very good condition with the company mark on the bottom and has its few wear marks there as well. Please see photos for details.
