Pair of mid century, wormwood, deep welled, rectangular picture frames with black accent border on inside edge. On the outside edges, these frames measure 20 1/4" (51.5cm) by 16 1/2" (42cm) by 2 1/4" (5.6cm) deep or stands 2 1/4" away from the wall when hung. The inside black trim is part of the molding material which has been stained black and therefore also contains the "worm holes" of the base material of the frames. These frames were built for 12 x 16 artwork or mirrors but note that the inside measurements are not exact and will require a slight adjustment in the painting, mat or glass: the inside measurements on one is 12 3/16" 30.9cm) by 16" (40.5cm) and the other is 12 1/4" (32.5cm) by 15 15/16" (40.4cm). The rabbet measures 1/4" (5mm). Both frames have a handing bracket installed for horizontal hanging, although these are easily removed. Both frames are in clean and good condition, although one frame does have a crack in the back side of the molding, that apparently was repaired long ago with tiny nails (shown in the attached detailed photo) and which is not visible when hung. A nice pair of frames with texture and character for hanging modern or period artwork or filled with mirrors for a unique accent.
