Pair Vintage Brass Neoclassical Art Deco Candelabras Candlesticks with plugs

Pair of vintage, cast brass, neoclassical-style Candelabras with a pair of decorative socket plugs or snuffers. These heavy - weighing 3lb 4 oz (1.48kg) each! - candelabras are classically styled with fluted columns, ribbons, laurel leaves, beaded and twisted rope trims. Each candelabra holds 3 candles or 2 candles and one filled with the flame-topped socket plug. These candelabras were made in distinct parts which are screwed together - the sockets, arms, stem and base come apart this way for reconfiguration or cleaning. Each candelabra measures 12" (30.5cm) high with plug or 9 1/2" (24cm) high without, 8 3/8" (21.2cm) wide at the tips of the arms and have a 4" (10cm) diameter base. Sockets are 7/8" (2.2cm) wide and fit standard taper candles. In very good condition with patina commensurate with age. A striking set that suits both traditional or modern table settings.
