Pair Vintage Mid Century Modern 1960s Homecrest Swivel Barrel Lounge Chairs

Pair of vintage late 1960s, Homecrest Edina model swivel rocking outdoor lounge chairs. These chairs measure 26" wide (outside measurements) 24" deep and 28" high. The inside of the seat measures 23" wide by 19" deep (approximately as the back of the seat is curved up). Arm rests slope up 8-10" high when you are sitting in the chair without cushions. In good condition, repainted at some time and shows some spots where original paint chipped off and was painted over. See photos for details on condition. Clean and ready to use. Rocking and swivel still working, although the swivel on one is somewhat tight. Seats are removable from base at springs. One screw that holds the seat in place on the slide in piece that is part of the spring is stuck in its hole, the other 3 are removable to adjust the seat and hold it in place. Even without the tightening of the stuck screw, the seat sits firmly in place on the base. Chairs sold with No cushions. (Homecrest still sells replacement cushions for these chairs through their website.) These iconic chairs were made in the late 1960s, appearing in the company's catalogue starting in 1968. They were made in Minnesota of welded steel with white or green enamel coating with swivel bearings and high quality rocker springs that have allowed the functionality of these chairs to last.
