Single, Champagne flute hand painted with Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque
Art Nouveau floral pattern, a pattern which also appears on each of its bottles.
Although Perrier-Jouët has been producing champagne since 1811,
Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque first appeared in 1964 and has become
legendary in its quality & taste. Instantly recognizable throughout
the world, its bottle is adorned with the graceful spray of Japanese
white anemones created for Maison Perrier-Jouët by Art Nouveau master
Emile Gallé. One of the family members who was involved with the arts
around the turn of the 20th century became friends with the famous
artist who developed the floral design which was then enameled to 4
magnums produced in 1902. Not only did this make a artful statement, but
the motif became an iconic symbol for the champagne producer. So in
1964, when a new cuvee was developed it seemed fitting for the new label
to carry the iconic motif. As a part of the enjoyment of this champagne
and use at countless special occasions, accessories such as these
7 1/2" tall glasses were developed to accompany the serving of the champagne. This
lovely glass is in excellent condition - see photos for details. A perfect addition to a set or replacement for a missing or broken one so you can be ready to enjoy or gift for a bottle or two of Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque
Champagne.
