Vintage, small, white porcelain, hand painted moriage footed cracked egg shaped vase, cup or planter. This charming vessel stands 4" (10cm) high over all (the egg section is 3") and 3" (7.5cm) in diameter. The inside bowl opening measures 2" (5cm) across. Although this vase does not have any markings, it is in the mid century style of Napcoware of Japan. This vase, produced in the 1950s in the distinctive style of the period is carefully hand painted with bunches and springs of dark pink roses, orange gladiolas, purple lilies and blue forget-me-nots, accompanying leaves with raised white highlights and trimmed out in gold on the edge of the egg and the feet. In excellent condition, clean and ready to use. A cute vase for spring flowers, tiny flowering bulbs and small plants but charming on a vanity for swabs, utensils, etc. or on a bar or buffet to hold small utensils, cocktail picks or small treats - candies, sauces, cocktail garnishes.
