Victorian Paper Mache Black Lacquerware Gold Mother of Pearl Floral Tray

Antique, Victorian English, black lacquerware Tray with hand painted floral pattern accented with Mother of Pearl chips and painted gold scrolling trim patterns. This beautiful tray gives off a soft, golden hue due to its painted yellow, brown, orange floral pattern in the center and gold accents. A raised, curved lip with gold curling patterns inside a gold line surrounds the center flat black lacquer painted surface. The back of the tray is plain black lacquer. This tray measures 24 1/2" wide and 19 1/2" deep and 1 1/2" high. It is in good condition, with apparent patina and wear, especially on the edges where there is some slight cracking in the surface. Large enough for entertaining or to use as decor on a coffee table or to adorn a wall.
