Vintage 1979 large, hand painted ceramic table top Christmas Tree which was molded and painted by a home crafter from a Newell's Mold. Includes more than 62 lights and a star on top. The base is the same color as the tree and has a holly branch and berry motif on the front and contains a brown plastic socket, elongated bulb and white 2-prong plug and chord with a rotary switch. One extra bulb included in package. Fully assembled, the tree measures 24" (cm) high and 16" (cm) in across at its widest points. The tree breaks down into 4 pieces: the base, lowest tier of branches with 8 bulbs, middle tier with 8 bulbs and the top which includes several more tiers to the top and the rest of the bulbs on the end of each branch. There are arrows by the Newell Marks which show how to assemble the parts so they fit well. This tree is in good condition overall but there are some small chips on the edges of the pieces where the sections are put together and on the bottom sides of each of the tiers from assembly and disassembly which are difficult to see when the tree is fully assembled. Please look at detailed pictures and other pictures enlarged to see these. A fun retro item that brings Christmas cheer!
