Vintage Antique Blue Heavy Glass Salt Cellars / individual Ash Trays Sweden

Antique aqua-blue, heavy glass rectangular Salt Cellars with reverse embossed ring pattern from Sweden. These pieces measure 2 5/8" wide by 1 3/4" long and 1" high with the interior cavity measuring about 1/2" deep. Heavy, wavy glass with some small bubbles, probably pressed into mold to form. Pattern in the center is embossed from the back or reverse side, making the inside surface smooth. In good condition with some slight chips on the bottom edges - see photos for details. Lovely blue color. Salt cellars continue to be popular for charcuterie platters and for embellishing mixed drinks on a bar. These are also deep enough to make nice individual ash trays or to hold strong sauces on a buffet or on a dinner table.
