Vintage Art Studio drip glaze large Bowl

Vintage, 1970s, large, heavy, hand crafted, modernist studio pottery, multi-colored drip glaze bowl signed by artist. This wonderful bowl measures 7 3/4" (14.8cm) high, 4" (10.2cm) in diameter across the bottom and 9 1/2" (24cm) across the top edge. Heavy, weighing almost 5lbs alone, without the packaging. The hand crafted ceramic has a ribbed texture inside and out, colored with a variety of watery browns and greens and rust dripped over a speckled tan/khaki base color and trimmed top and bottom with a walnut colored mottled watery shading. The entire bowl has a final lightly glossy overglaze and stands on an unglazed round footed base. Unidentified artist, dated 8/5/76 on bottom with signature. A wonderful example of mid century modern ceramic work. Lovely for decor or for serving.
