Pair of vintage, Blanc de Chine, Chinese ginger jar-shaped Lamps with raised relief pattern of lotus blossoms and leaves. The porcelain base sits atop carved richly stained wood (rosewood?) round bases, also in a Chinese style, with felt covered bottoms. Solid brass, embossed, ball-shaped finial atop a 10" harp. These lamps, in the style of the Dehua province of China where much of its blanc de chine porcelain objects are made, do not have any brand markings though this exact design was produced by Frederick Cooper in the 1980s. Each lamp measures 10" in diameter at its widest points and is 28" high with a harp and finial. The base alone is 14" high and the wood base measures 6 1/2" in diameter. These lamps are in working order with original wiring, with brass or gold plated parts, 3-way socket switch and clear gold chord and 2-prong plug. These lamps are in very good condition, though one lamp has three very small chips on the side edges, which are difficult to see as the porcelain is the same white throughout. Photos show details up close. Sold without shades. An elegant pair of lamps, with an Art Nouveau touch of lily pads / lotus
flowers, blend into both traditional and modern style interiors,
bringing a floral/botanical element.
