Vintage Brass Art Deco Compote Footed Bowl Dish Centerpiece Heavy

Vintage, art deco style, un-marked, heavy cast and embossed brass footed compote or bowl. This substantial and beautiful bowl measures 9 1/2" (24 cm) in diameter across the top and the broad shallow bowl is about 1 1/4" (3 cm) deep at its center point. The compote stands on a single hexagonal column supported by a flanged hexagonal base. The whole bowl stands 5" (12.5 cm) tall overall and the base measures 5 2/4" (14.5 cm) wide at its widest corners. The edge of the top bowl and the bottom of the column are decorated with an art deco style geometric pattern and the segments of the base are trimmed in beaded detail. A striking piece for any table paired with flowers, fruit or other treats. Also makes a lovely accent on its own.
