Vintage Carrera Marble Book Shaped Bookends Book Ends Pair Italian

Vintage pair of Carrera marble, book-shaped Italian handmade bookends in very good condition. This lovely set measures 3 3/8" (8.5cm) wide by 3" (7.5cm) deep by 4 3/8" (11cm) high. The set weighs in at 3 lbs 7oz (1.5 kg) on their own, without packaging. Nicely carved to show tooled book spines and leaves of pages. Smaller "books" made of pure white marble while the others on side and bottom are carved in the classic carrera white and grey veined pattern. Marked "Italy" on the bottom with the number of 10 of 99 of a series. What a beautiful, compact set for a desktop, shelf or nightstand with a classic look that suits many decorating styles.
