Vintage E. F. Chapman large neoclassical
Lamp with a suspended black urn on a brass stand adorned with winged
lion heads and feet. These impressive lamps, made in 1972 by Chapman,
still known for their high quality lighting, have dual bulbs controlled
by a dimming rotary switch located at the base of the urn that matches
the top acorn finial and smaller decorative acorn finial on the base.
Photos show the lamp turned on, off and 2 photos between on and off to
show the dimming capability. All new wiring includes brown chords
and 2-prong electrical plugs. These lamps are made of brass and matte
black enamel finish on the urn. New brown felt bottom. This lamp measure 30.25" (6.7cm) high to
the top of the finial - 28" (71cm) without the finial - and 8" (20.2cm)
across at the widest points of the base and weighs 7
lbs, 8 oz. In very good condition, brass has tarnished to a bronze with brass highlights which could be polished. There is a small crack in the candle cover - see photos for details. Clean and ready to use. Shipped without bulbs or shades. A very fine, high quality, classically styled lamp.
