Vintage Gilt Rope & Tassel STYLEBUILT Wastebasket Trash Can

Vintage 1970, gilt metal, rope and tassel motif Vanity or Bathroom Wastebasket with original plastic liner by Stylebuilt. Stylebuilt is known for its luxury vanity items and especially those plated with 14K gold in a variety of motifs and styles for both men and women. This classic rope & tassel design was produced in the early 1970s and tough it is no longer in production, remains popular today. The company, based in New York, was established in 1940 and still produces high quality products today under the Stylebuilt Accessories label. The wastebasket is 9" in diameter and 9 1/2" high. In good overall condition, with patina and wear commensurate with age and use - see photos for details. The liner of the wastebasket is scratched and has an opaque spot likely from contact with acetone based liquid or spray as shown in detailed photos. (Shown with matching accessories for styling, not sold in this listing.) Put Hollywood Regency style waste basket into a bath or dressing area to add a touch of glam to a vanity arrangement or a planter.
