Vintage, 1970s Hand Carved Wood Don Quixote Sculpture Figurine With Book. This carefully crafted figure is made of finely grained, light-colored wood in a Spanish style, much like the style of Giacometti. The figure, in a relaxed, walking pose holds a book and stands on a rectangular, domed base. Intricately carved details show pupils of eyes, fine nose and texture of beard - a nicely executed piece! The whole sculpture measures 7” high, 1 1/4” wide and 2” deep. No signature or markings. In good condition with patina and wear from age - see photos for details. A whimsical, handsome character to adorn a bookshelf, side table or desk.
