Vintage hand engraved brass Box Trunk domed hinged Lid Feet Treasure Chest

Vintage, hand made, engraved and stamped plate brass, trunk-shaped Box with a domed and hinged Lid and integrated brass feet. This lovely "Treasure Chest" measures 7 1/4" high, 8" wide and 4 1/8" deep (outside measurements) and the interior is 3 3/4" high (to the edge of the bottom of the box), 7" wide and 3 1/4" deep. This box was decorated with intricate Morrocan botanical designs and the metal sheets were soldered together to create this piece. No maker markings. The unpolished brass has tarnished, patinaed surfaces both outside and inside from age. No breaks or dents and lid opens smoothly and straight on the integrated hinges. See photos for further details on condition. Makes an intriguing decorative statement in a shelf or table top vignette and use it to store small items at the same time.
