Vintage Italian leather Playing Card / Poker Case

Vintage, Italian, handmade, embossed, gilded and painted leather Poker case with chips and 2 decks of playing cards. Sides are burnished and padded leather with gild trims and depictions of playing cards and openings for storing and seeing the chips. This lovely piece measures 6 3/4" (17.3cm) wide by 2 1/2" (6.4cm) deep and 3" (7.6cm) tall. Chips are small - 1" (2.5cm) in diameter and 1/16" (1.5mm) thick and there are 11 red, 14 yellow, 9 white, 9 green - with space for 9 more chips. There are 2 wood lined compartments on the inside of the case under the lid that hold 2 decks of playing cards. The cards here are matching vintage decks in red/gold and green/silver art deco elfin and floral motifs. A finely crafted piece in very good condition (see photos for details), a nice addition to a coffee table or bar and makes a classic gift.
