Vintage JONATHAN CLUB, Los Angeles, CA Wooden FRUIT CAKE Gift Box Crate

Vintage, wooden Fruit Cake Gift Box from the renowned JONATHAN CLUB, Los Angeles, CA. This unusual box with notched inset and fully removable lid measures 9 1/4" wide, 6 5/8" deep and 2 3/4" high. Made of dove-tail joined, light-weight, clear wood with heat embossed logo of the club still clearly visible on the lower right corner of the lid. In the early and mid century, the club's kitchens made fruit cakes for the holidays, which were available for gifting with such a box. In very good condition, patina and wear commensurate with age - see photos for details. Truly an gem if you are interested or decorating with vintage advertising items, antique food related decor or LA memorabilia.
