Vintage MCM CARVED WOOD frame Mexico Deconstructed holds up to 25 x 24

 Vintage mid century, Mexican carved wood picture frame for large painting that has been deconstructed, cleaned and old nails removed. When assembled, measures 28 1/4" (  cm) wide and 24 1/4" ( cm) high around the outside edges and holds a painting up to 25" ( cm) by 24"( cm) with a rabbet of 7/8" (cm)). Made of solid, dark brown, finely-grained wood that has been carved with traditional mid century Mexican design outside border, covered in a light gloss lacquer and is beveled on the back for the frame to flare out from the wall in classic mid century style. Shows surface wear on the front which is difficult to see as the core and the surface of the wood are the same dark color. There is more substantial wear on the mitered corner edges where the frame has been nailed together - see photos for details. It is due to the condition of the mitered corners as well as the unusual dimensions of this frame, that we decided to keep this frame in its deconstructed state to allow for the user to cut the frame - and the damaged sections - to a custom size while being able to retain and use the vintage molding.
