Vintage Mid Century Ceramic Ashtray and Lighter ITALY Gold Silver Fruit Painted

Vintage set of 2, Italian ceramic wick lighter and matching ashtray hand painted with gold and silver fruit on a cream white background. The lighter is decorated with a golden pear with silver leaves and the ashtray with golden grapes and silver leaves. Both have a gold trim around the top edge as well. The lighter measures 4" (10.2cm) high and 2" (5.1cm) wide and has a gold plated reservoir and strike mechanism. The reservoir slides out of the ceramic base for cleaning and refilling.  The lighting mechanism is working but has not been cleaned and the wick not replaced so that there is no dangerous residue present when shipping. The ashtray measures 6 1/4" (15.9cm) square and 1 1/2" (3.8cm) high to the top of the rim. Both pieces are in good condition with no chips or cracks but wear is present on the lighter mechanism and on the painted surfaces of the ashtray - see photos for details. A light-hearted and casual set for a bar or coffee table.
