Vintage Modern green onyx marble Cigarette Desk Trinket Box jar with Lid

Vintage, mid century modern, large green onyx cigarette or trinket box with fitted lid. This polished cylindrical container measures 5" (12.7cm) in diameter on the outside and 4 3/8" (11.2cm) on the inside and 3 1/2" (9cm) high on the outside and about 2 1/2" (6.4cm) on the inside with the lid on top.  The stone has a pale green hue with some white and green one-directional veining. Wear - see photos - shows on the inside edges of the bottom and outside rim of the top but otherwise the box is in good condition. Nice container to store items on a bar, desk or vanity or as a decor item to round out a coffee table or shelf vignette.
