VIntage Pair 50s-60s Atomic Rocket Tiki slat Bamboo cane Table Lamps Lined 16"

Vintage pair of mid century modern rocket or atomic style split or slat Bamboo Table Lamps with cane lacing and metal stick and ball feet. The bamboo of the shade is dark brown with a slight gloss and the lacing is a natural cane color. The tapered shade is fully lined with a tightly woven smooth, off-white fabric (probably cotton or polyester) to ensure a warm glow when lit. Brass pull chains with a ball ends are attached to the sockets which are connected to brown chord s on 2-prong plugs. The lamps measure 16" (40.5cm) high and 6 3/8"(16cm) in diameter at the tops and 4 3/8 (11cm)" at the bottom. The diameter at the feet measures 5 3/8" (3.5cm) across. Overall, these lamps are working and in very good condition but wear is evident in some small spots on the bamboo slats and the patina on the ball and chain on both lamps as well as a segment of missing cane lacing on the top of one lamp - see photos for details. Please note that these are handmade as can be seen in the irregularity of the rounded sides of the lamps - they both seem to be a little oval in some parts and round in others when they are carefully examined. Photos from the top of the lamps show this. These lamp bring a warm, natural, modern touch to any corner or surface in a variety of places around the home or office, add a spark to a tiki bar, Hawaiian style space or retro vignette.
