Vintage varnished wood brass inlay detail Jewelry trinket BOX COLIBRI of London

Vintage 1980s, high quality, finely grained, stained and varnished hardwood Jewelry or Watch Box with inlay brass detail. This box was originally a watch box by Colibri of London, the company known for high-end smoking accessories, especially cigarette lighters (see detail on COLIBRI below). The interior of the box has been slightly modified, so that it no longer has the Colibri logo on the inside of the lid but is covered with the same brown velour lining as the rest of the interior of the box. This modification allows this box to become a permanent jewelry or trinket box for everyday and multi-item use, not just packaging for a watch. Overall, the box is in good condition, with no chips, cracks or major markings, just some small scratches on the top side in the gloss varnish and a slight patina to the brass detail as shown in photos. A well made, handsome piece to round out an organized closet or imbue some style to a vanity to store watches, bracelets, cuff links, etc.
