Vtg Congress Playing Cards 2 Deck 1 NEW Deck Orange Blue in Velour Box

Vintage, classic CONGRESS velour-covered, gold trimmed box with pull-out tray and 2 decks of playing cards, one royal blue and one orange which is unused in original wrapping. This box measures 5"wide by 3 7/8" deep and 7/8" high. The classic blue and orange of the 1970s is on the backs of the card decks inside. These are classic Congress bridge cards with "Cell-U-Tone" finish, white edges and jokers with US Capitol image (standard for Congress cards). Original gold finish sticker on back of box and satin ribbon pull tag on pull-out tray. Slight fading of velour on back and sides as shown in photos, other wise in very good condition. These cards were made in Cincinnati, OH. Congress (owned by US Playing Cards, Inc. of Erlanger, KY, formerly Cincinnati, OH), the top brand for bridge and canasta playing cards since 1881 became a subsidiary of Cartamundi (Belgium) in 2019 and now produces these cards in Spain. A nice set for a retro look on a bar, coffee table or game night arrangement.
