Vtg Decorative Storage Box Tessellated Horn Distressed Bone Hinged Lidded 90's

Large, 1990s vintage large decorative storage box clad in tessellated horn and distressed bone trim with turned horn feet and opening knob. The interior and bottom are covered in black velveteen. The top opens with brass hinges. This lovely display box measures 18 1/2" (47cm) wide, 6 1/4" (16cm) deep and 7" (17.9cm) high. In very good condition, note that the distressing on the bone trim is intentional to create the alligator skin texture to the trim. The horn tiles are engraved with rows of dashes to add texture and pattern but are otherwise smooth and glossy. This is a hand made item or natural materials and so there are irregularities in the seams between the horn and bone pieces in some areas. A large box perfect simply as a decor item on a table or shelf to lend rustic charm or as an attractive storage container that can be displayed.
