Vtg MCM Leather Covered Rhinoceros RHINO Sculpture 20” LONG Glass Eyes Patina

Vintage 1960s, large (20 inches long) dark brown leather covered Rhinocerous sculpture. This figurine measures approximately 20 inches long, 10 inches high and 8 inches wide. These 1960s era, Italian handmade figures were constructed of a wood frame, paper mache and real leather wrap, carefully molded and treated to create a realistic animal hide and show the muscular details of this grand animal. This one also includes pointed leather ears and glass eyes to further its appeal. With natural aging, the leather now has a nice patina. There are some small cracks and chips in the leather skin - see detailed photos - but they do not detract from the quality of this piece. Wonderful addition to a "man cave", library, animal or art collection.
