Vtg Modernist Shot Glass Boardman Silversmiths Sterling Equestrian Hunt Horse

Vintage, Boardman Silversmiths Inc. mid century modern shot glass in sterling silver with painted glass lining depicting an equestrian hunt scene with horses, red-coated riders and dogs running. This unique and hand crafted item is engraved on the front "Sneaky". The glass measures 2 5/16" (6cm) high and 2" (5.1cm) 1 3/8" (3.5cm) in diameter on top and bottom. In good condition, though it does show some wear with a tiny dent on the top rim and some hazing under the top edge of the glass interior - see photos for details. Established in the early 19th century in Connecticut, Boardman has been known for its trophies and other memoribilia in pewter and silver as well as for its production of serving and barware for commercial use and continues to produce metalwares using skills of its craftsman in its Connecticut facilities. A unique period piece reflecting a special moment for a horse lover. Makes a great gift or addition to an interesting collection or a whitty bar setup.
