Vtg Moroccan Mosaic Inlay Wood Pearl Marquetry Jewelry Box Chest Trunk w/ Key

Vintage. Moroccan style Jewelry Box or Chest of inlaid wood in a mosaic pattern using various colored wood pieces and mother of pearl, with a central star motif and intricate trim work. This lovely domed chest includes a lock and key, red velvet lined interior with twisted white and red tiny rope trimmed edges and small bun feet. This hand crafted box measures 12" (30.5cm) wide by 7 3/8" (18.7cm) deep by 7" (17.5cm) high on the outside. The interior measures 10 3/4" (29.3cm) by 6" (15cm) deep and includes a two-sectioned tray that fits over the center of the box to give the chest 2 areas for storage. This chest is overall in very good condition, with a clean interior - see photos for details. (The key tends to stick a little but must be pushed into the lock all the way and locks and unlocks smoothly.) Perfect for gift giving or to organize a nice jewelry collection for a woman or man and display on a dresser.
