Vtg REED & BARTON Silver Plate Centerpiece Bowls Cachepots Vases Candelabras MCM

Pair of 2-part silver plate centerpieces which include candelabra rings and low vases/bowls/cachepots by Reed & Barton Silversmiths. This is a classic mid century set from the 1960s. Each bowl measures 9 1/2" in diameter and 3 3/8" high on the edges and has a 4 3/4" diameter footed base. With the candle ring inside, the set measures 4 1/2" high. The candle rings alone measure 5 5/8" in diameter and 3" high and sit securely into the indented center of each bowl. The set is intended to allow for a floral arrangement to surround the candle holders. The rind allows for floral foam or a frog to securely hold botanicals to create a dense arrangement. Candle cups and upright holders unscrew from one another for cleaning and storage as needed. Overall the set is in very good condition. There are a few scratches in the inside of the bowls from florals and removal and placement of the candle ring, and some corrosion at the base of a candle cup (shown in detail in photos) due to exposure to moisture. An elegant set for a table, buffet or console at a special event that is versatile, allowing for use of the bowls and candle holders independently or together and in various arrangements.
