WW2 US Navy Relief Society Lapel Pin STERLING HALLMARKED Old Screw Pin Back

Vintage WWII-period US Navy Navy Relief Society lapel pin. Inscribed on the reverse with "OFFICIAL NAVY RELIEF SOCIETY BY ACCESSOCRAFT STERLING Pat. Pend". The pin is Enamel on Gilt on STERLING and is early SCREW BACK type (usually worn on the Lapel). In good condition with some wear shown - see photos for details. Measures inches 1 7/8 high by 1/2 inches wide. The Navy Relief Society was started in the 1920s and has continued its support services to the present day. Volunteers and members are awarded with pins for service, hours of work and other contributions.
