The aperture has been de-clicked for smooth exposure transitions during filming, and a 0.8 follow focus gear has been installed on the focusing ring for precise manual focus operation. The lens also includes a 95mm OD cine lens hood, making it compatible with common matte boxes and cinema accessories.

The Sigma Super-Wide II series was produced during the late 1980s and early 1990s as Sigma’s premium manual focus ultra-wide line. Built upon Sigma’s well-known Super-Wide optical design, the Multi-Coated II version introduced improved coatings that reduce flare while maintaining the classic vintage rendering appreciated by cinematographers today. Glass & Cosmetic Condition

The optics are generally clean with very minor cleaning wear typical for vintage lenses. There is also one relatively deep scratch on the front element.

During our testing, we did not observe any visible impact on image quality under normal shooting conditions. The final two sample photographs in this listing were taken using this exact lens at F2.8 and F22.

However, because optical behavior can vary depending on lighting direction, strong point light sources, flare conditions and shooting environments, we cannot guarantee that the front scratch will never influence the final image.

For this reason, the lens is offered AS IS.

The barrel shows normal cosmetic wear, including partially erased engraved markings, consistent with age and professional use.
