Up for consideration is an antique portrait on tin of a young girl with hand on
gilt harp in original period mid 19th Century frame. The tin itself is rectangular however the artist did the portrait in a oval cartouche. There is an old label on the back that is probably depicting title and artist name. The tin measures 7.75 inches wide by 9.5 inches with the actual opening upfront or the view being 6.5 by 7.5" approximately. Overall dimensions are 11.5 inches by 13.5 inches. The painting is as good as a photo with the girl having a wonderful red silk ribbon through her hair and hand on a giltwood harp. Some photos were taken with a flash to help with the real correct coloration of the painting...there is some glare and haze and that is due to the lighting. The painting is spectacular in real time.
