Up for consideration is an antique portrait on of an Old Gaucho with a few
cowboys around the fire to the right in the background. The painting itself without the frame measures about 16 by 20 inches more or less. The owners of the estate frequented Argentina and purchased art. I have purchased 32 works of art from the estate. This is stamped Resseler Art Galleries. There was an artist who also had a gallery by the same name here in Detroit Michigan Summary: A letter to Detroit, Michigan painter and gallery owner Isadore Ressler from Rachel Heath, secretary at the Fine Arts Gallery, City of San Diego, to express appreciation "for what you have done for us here."; and a photograph of the interior of the Ressler Art Gallery identified by a stamp on the verso: Ressler Art Gallery, 1529 Washington Blvd., Detroit, Mich. BIOGRAPHICAL/HISTORICAL NOTEIsadore Ressler (1861-1947) was a painter and gallery owner of Detroit, Michigan.The paint is signed Julio N...I am not sure who the artist is but I can tell you the painting is very well done...and stands right neck and neck with the best of this genre.
